Odile, creator of handmade baby clothes — The story of Maison Piou Piou

My name is Odile. I'm from the Dominican Republic, a mother of two little boys, and a creator of handmade baby clothes in France.

My life changed with the birth of my son in 2020. Before that, I worked for eight years in major luxury houses such as LVMH, Chanel, and Cartier, where I learned French savoir-faire and a love for detail.

It was through discovering sewing that I found my true calling. I learned on the job, with passion and patience, and since then, I've been creating unique baby clothes that are an ode to my children and the magic of childhood. Each piece is hand-sewn, in small batches, in my workshop near Paris.

I love imagining exclusive textile worlds: my fabrics are mostly custom-printed in Europe, Oeko-Tex certified, and sometimes even designed by my own hands. Each pattern thus becomes a fragment of my story and a nod to my poetic world.

I am inspired by the fantasy of books, moments of serenity by the sea, and the Montessori and Waldorf pedagogies. These influences nourish my world and are reflected in my creations: baby pajamas, newborn outfits, gift sets, and handmade accessories, designed to be comfortable, playful, and poetic all at once.

Today, through Maison Piou Piou, I share my world: a gentle and artisanal world, born from a mother's love and the desire to make little ones dream, from birth to 4 years old.
