Ce bavoir, je l'ai pensé pour qu'on l'oublie presque, tellement il s'intègre à la tenue du matin. Sa coupe bandana, drapée comme un petit foulard, protège les habits pendant les repas, les régurgitations ou les poussées dentaires, sans jamais paraître contraint.

Le tissu est un sweat bouclette certifié Oeko-Tex, légèrement texturé, doux et enveloppant contre la peau fragile de bébé. Deux pressions au cou permettent d'ajuster le tour, pour qu'il accompagne bébé de ses premiers mois jusqu'à ses 3 ans.

Le motif, c'est tout un petit-déjeuner qui s'anime : croissants, cafetière, tartines, confiture, tout un tableau gourmand dessiné à la main par une illustratrice avec qui j'ai eu la chance de collaborer. C'est un imprimé rare, difficile à trouver en France.

Je le coupe et je le couds moi-même, dans mon atelier de 4m² à Saint-Maur-des-Fossés. Un indispensable du quotidien, pensé pour les tout-petits qui prennent leur petit-déjeuner comme les grands.

Sweat Bouclette (French Terry)

D’une douceur naturelle, cette matière souple et texturée se reconnaît à ses petites bouclettes à l’intérieur. Elle offre une chaleur légère et un confort respirant, parfaits pour garder bébé bien au chaud sans jamais l’étouffer. Plus épaisse qu’un jersey, mais toujours fluide, elle accompagne les mouvements avec tendresse, saison après saison.

From what age can a bandana bib be used?

The bandana bib can be used from birth. It is particularly useful during the first few weeks for spit-up, then during teething from 3 months, and finally for the first spoon-fed meals.

My son wore his until about 18 months, mainly because of the pacifier that was constantly drooling. This is often a detail you don't anticipate, and it explains why you always need them longer than you think.

How many bandana bibs do you need?

Plan for at least 8 to 10 bandana bibs to last a day without having to do an emergency load of laundry. By having as many bibs as pajamas, you maintain the same washing rhythm without running out, especially with a baby who has reflux.

How to care for your bandana bib?

Machine wash at 30°C maximum with similar colors. Air dry on a drying rack, never tumble dry. For stubborn stains, apply ox-gall soap before washing.

Is the snap fastener strong and secure?

Yes. Each metal snap is professionally installed with a press to ensure optimal hold and baby's safety. It never comes undone accidentally and withstands repeated washings.

What's the difference between a bandana bib and a feeding bib?

The bandana bib can be worn discreetly all day without cluttering the outfit. The meal bib is larger and more absorbent but less suitable for prolonged wear. The Maison Piou Piou bandana bib is part of the outfit, not just for mealtimes.

In my experience, the bandana bib is also accepted at daycare, unlike meal bibs which are often reserved for mealtimes. A practical detail that really changes parents' daily lives.
