Double-gauze and bamboo canteen bib

A handmade children's canteen bib for independent meals

From 12 months, children begin to eat independently. This canteen bib was designed to support this stage gently, at the daycare, preschool, canteen, and at home.

In the spirit of Montessori pedagogy, which encourages children's independence from an early age, this bib can be put on and taken off by themselves thanks to its elastic neckband, with no buttons to manipulate or complicated fasteners. A simple gesture that builds self-confidence at the table.

Its large chest-covering format effectively protects clothes from pureed food, sauce, and yogurt stains. This washable children's bib is reversible: the visible side is made of Oeko-Tex certified double gauze cotton, which is light and breathable. The skin-side is made of bamboo micro-terry, which is ultra-absorbent and silky.

Each preschool bib is hand-sewn in my workshop in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, in small batches, with fabrics carefully selected for their softness and safety on children's sensitive skin.

In my experience, the elastic bib is also accepted at daycare, unlike classic meal bibs often reserved for mealtimes. A practical detail that truly makes a difference in daily life.

For babies under 12 months, I recommend the double gauze and bamboo micro-terry baby bib instead.
